Casa da Lima Eclipse!
We can witness an almost total eclipse, here at Casa da Lima. That is something! Sometimes or in some parts of the world, it is not visible, or the timing is not so interesting. But this year, after a century, all connects and we could see it.
It starts 12 August in the evening at 18:33. We have plenty of time to find protection for our eyes…
It is tonight! We wanted to do some research in Exploratorio in Coimbra. A film is shown twice daily and even more now it is so busy. It is to tell the people and children more about this interesting eclipse. Yesterday, Tuesday I thought it would be a good day to see this 3D movie, just before the special eclips day. Unfortunately a lot of people thought it also. It was so crowded that they couldn’t guarantee that we would be able to see it. They said we could come back after today… The line was too long. Dissapointed we went home again.
Instead we went to friends who prepared better than we did! they gave us the glasses, so tonight we are going to watch it!
The Junta de Freguesia Alvorge organises an view on a special hill, view top in Tras de Figueira. Let’s do that. I don’t know what we will be doing from 17:00 until 18:33, but we will bring some card games, food, just to have a good time until the magic starts.
